I had babysat Tommy several times, and I loved watching him. So when Tommy’s mom called me and asked if I could babysit Tommy for the weekend. As Tommy’s dad surprised her with tickets to Paris for their 20th anniversary, I said I would love to watch Tommy. Not to worry, everything would be safe at home, and to have a good time, what time did she need him to be there? She asked if I could be there at 9 am to ensure she had time to review things. I arrived the following day, and Tommy’s mom had written out all emergency contacts and the Hotel’s number if I needed to reach them. She told me that when they arrived, she would call to check on things. She handed me an envelope with Tommy’s medical card and cash, saying the card was just in case and that the money was to order food and pay for any activities I would like to do with Tommy.
