As one of our planet’s most perfect specimens, I was selected by the United Nations to become an Earth Ambassador. An upcoming mission required me to travel a month’s long journey into space, to a far-off galaxy where intelligent life had been thought to be discovered. They dressed me in a white astronaut suit and gave me this green pill. The doctor who gave it to me said it would make me fall into a coma-like sleep that would last until the ship entered the new planet’s atmosphere. As I popped the pill and rode the elevator to enter the vessel, my heart was racing.
Inside was very dark, and the other astronauts were plugging away at buttons and typing away at the many computer displays. It was all so overwhelming, but someone came up behind me and ushered me to my pod—an upright cylinder where I was buckled in and wished good luck.
My eyes felt so heavy as the pill did its job of pulling me into a deep, deep sleep.
It only felt like a few blinks before I was awoken by this awful rocking. The ship had landed at his destination. There were sirens blaring as I unbuckled and wandered the dark rocketship. A red glow flashed as a warning while I checked on the other earth ambassadors. No one else was awake, and no matter how I shook them, no one budged. I was alone, scared, and unsure of what to do next.

Before I could contemplate a plan, the vessel’s door got ripped off its hinges. A warmth entered the space in front of me, an invisible thing I couldn’t see, but I could feel it!
