I was walking through the park early yesterday morning. The sun had just come up, and the chill of the night hadn’t quite faded yet. The peacefulness of the morning was soon ruined by an unexplainable feeling. You know that one that makes the tiny hairs on the back of your neck stand at attention? The feeling that tells you to get ready for fight or flight. I looked behind me, and there was no one there.
I scanned the area and didn’t see an immediate threat, but I could feel it. Worried, I kept my AirPods out of my ears and walked quicker. Then, out of nowhere, this big body bumped into my shoulder from behind, throwing me off balance and almost making me fall. “Get the fuck out of this park.” The man spat at my feet, and I looked at him in shock. “We hate your kind.” He seethed as he looked me up and down.
