Baby Marty is a new little client at the daycare.  I try not to have favorites but he is beginning to really get next to me.  His Daddy drops him off in the mornings with his storybook of the day.  A smile comes to my mouth as I see him all excited trying to move his chubby body through the daycare trying to get to me. Seeing the crumbs of the cookie he had just before getting here tells me his Daddy had to bribe him to do something.  This little charmer goes through the day claiming every minute of it.  Now when it is time for that cookie to pass it will be a very smelly mess and stink up the whole daycare and he will be so content playing on the floor somewhere.  Gives you the biggest smile when you go to pick him up to change.

BABY MARTY 

His Mama uses cloth diapers because his bottom is so chubby the plastic ones do not let the air circulation in.  After the change and all clean, he searches for his book.  When he finds it he starts muttering to me from across the room about “read” “read”.  I reach down and pick him up to take him to the rocking chair.  He tries to open his little book before I can; he is so excited for me to read his story.  His Daddy writes him a new one every day he comes to daycare. It’s all ways about Baby Marty and his adventures.  Sitting him on my lap and placing the book in front of us so he can see the pictures in his book; I start reading.  He listens intently and I can tell my voice really turns him on.  Soon he needs to be changed again and this time not just from a smelly diaper.
