Our firm is full of high-powered female lawyers. We wear power suits and fill the men around us with trepidation and intimidation. In our firm, all the lawyers are women, and we only hire men for secretarial work. Recently, we hired a new secretary. He’s already on the right tract as he showed up wearing ladies slack, an ambiguous blouse, and ballet flats. A week into his employment all the partners met to pull straws. I pulled the longest which meant that I won and it was my turn to transform the male secretary. He was about to become completely feminized.

It began as it always began at first, slow and steady. I told him that he was to bring me coffee every morning just the way I like it. He didn’t disappoint at all. Every morning, my coffee was waiting for me piping hot on my desk. His attentiveness meant that I always had a full hot cup ready for me to drink at all times during the day. So, I knew he could be pushed harder and faster into the transition awaiting him.
So, one day after work, I told him that he would be receiving a delivery that evening and that I expected him to wear it the next day. He didn’t disappoint and showed up the next day dressed in the skirt and much more feminine blouse that I had sent him. I called him to my desk and handed him a new desk name plate. He smiled at it and thanked me and said he loved his new name. I also told him that we would be changing his pronouns and referring to him as she from now on. She smiled and gave a slight nod of agreement at this as well.
