There’s just somethin’ ‘bout a cowboy. So when my friends invited me to the rodeo, I was so excited. Of course there was a cowboy that caught my eye. He looked me up and down, winked, and smiled. My heart melted. I could tell the feeling was mutual. But I could also tell that boy was a heartbreaker. All the girls were going gaga over him. It was obvious that he knew he was cute. Why are we girls always attracted to these kinds of bad boys? My mind told me to keep walking but the rest of me couldn’t resist him. He had me mesmerized. I turned around and walked right back over to him. He didn’t seem surprised but rather like he had achieved some sort of accomplishment. He removed his cowboy hat, swept his sun kissed curls from his forehead and took a swig of his beer. We exchanged phone numbers. Then my friends and I were on our way. But I just couldn’t get him out of my head all day. That evening my phone rang. It was him. He asked if I’d like to go have a drink and bite to eat. I agreed.
There’s Just Somethin’ ‘Bout A Cowboy Part 2
He was a true southern gentleman because he insisted on picking me up. When he got there, I was so surprised. After roping the bulls, he was all sweaty and dirty. But that boy had cleaned up well. The straw hat and leather chaps had been replaced by a black felt hat and sports coat. He handed me a dozen pink roses. I was speechless. I began to think that I really misjudged him. Maybe he’s not a bad boy. He’s just so good lookin’ that it’s easy to assume that he is. I hadn’t expected him to be so dressed up. I thought we would probably go to a western bar, so I was in jeans. But he told me that he had made reservations at a steak house. So I ran to my room and quickly slipped on a little black dress.
Part 3 will be coming soon
