I can’t believe that for so long I categorized men into two basic categories – alpha and beta. Sure, most men do fall into either of those categories, but until I came across Todd, I was definitely oversimplifying. Let me give you a bit of background on this Omega male. Of course there is also the elusive Sigma male, but I will address that particular male in a later blog.
He is college educated and middle to upper class and married with two kids. Why would he be calling a phone sex service? Now, Todd has been henpecked for years by his domineering and very demanding wife. But, Todd thinks he is an Alpha male. He shows disdain for sissy boys, cuckolds and other Beta males. He mistakenly confuses the term Beta as a synonym for weak and easily dominated. Yes, Todd is ill-informed and quite ignorant.
So, You Think You Are An Alpha But You Don’t Get Any Of The Perks Do You?
When an Omega male is unhappy and unhealthy as Todd is, power is all he thinks about. He is jealous of Alphas. They have more than he does. (more money, more sex, more power and status, more love and better luck) The Omega feels sorry for himself since he feels so unlucky in life and love.
For an Omega male, it isn’t enough to be respected and preferably feared – this fool wants to be famous. The Omega male can become extremely compulsive and obsessive. Omega males also have a tendency for self-sabotage. He always wants the credit for everything. It is never enough to just do something well, he wants others to be well aware of his accomplishments. He has this deep need to prove to everyone who ever doubted him in the past or even bullied him that he is strong and powerful. He so wants to be a true Alpha.
An Omega male craves recognition above all else. He is not equipped to handle rejection. He takes everything personally and as attack on his fragile manhood. He will be drawn to a powerful, manipulative and even mercenary type female of the homewrecking and financial domination ilk.
Now, someone like me – an opportunistic female can hone in on these inherent weaknesses. I can channel all of that compulsive energy and monetize it. So, what do you think you are? An Alpha? A Beta? Or an Omega? Possibly a Sigma? (those are few and far between) Or are you just confused?
